Fall 2017 Trends

Fall 2017 Trends

Welcome to this blog, my beautiful peoples!
This blog is called Fashion Trends With Polyvore, which I will refer to as FTWP. Suggest in the comments a better nickname for FTWP. On to.. clothes!

So, we're going to start with colors. An unusual choice? Maybe.

So, powerful red is innnnn
Need more proof, my stars from Mars? Didn't think so! Sure you would most likely never weigh it, (looking at you, Giambattista) but it gives proof. Red is a powerful color. Red, red, red, red, red, red, red.

Fabric
Fur. Faux, real, whatever floats your (perhaps vegan) boat, it's in. Not just your average first coat, you'll be laughed out of Vogue. Vintage, babes. Vintage. Think 1920s starlet and you're on the right path.

Gliterati boots. Now. They are THE white boots of Fall. A.K.A, a must have. So get them, stars from Mars. Really, J. Crew has them peeps. That means they are in. Combine trends, red glitterati boots... Yes... YESS...
Yesh like mesh.

Sparkle and shine in this fresh boot trend. Chanel's space age go-go pair will take you out of this world, and the Rihanna-worn Saint Laurent ones will make you feel like a star. Consider this the white boot of fall—aka, a must have.
Amazing, right?

Now.. Cowboy looks! This includes Western-inspired prints, or a freaking cactus on your top, which could also be red, with some tall glitterati boots. Am I amazing? Yes, yes I am.
This season's crop of cowboy-inspired looks—including Raf Simons' debut collection for Calvin Klein—reimagines what we think of the old-timey trend. But it's not so quiet on the Western front, with modern takes on the steel-toed boot, leather vests, cowhide prints, and kitschy cacti.
Tommy Hilfger, why make that HIDEOUS shirt. The 80s are gone, that was soo last year. Sorry. Call it a trend, I call them friends, just try to get along?

No, 70s plaid! Plaid, a staple of fall, now trendy because of the seventies. Not a great time period for clothes, but let's take a look-see, shall we?
When you hear plaid, you typically think of '90s grunge. But this season is all about the bright plaid from the '70s. The versatile print was crafted into classic coats at Prada, statement pants at Tome, and even premiered as a formal gown  at Jenny Packham.
Chloé and maaybe Jenny Packham or Bottega are wearable. Tome, no. No, no, no, no. Leave the seventies where it belongs: The past. Anyways, my starling darlings, on to the next trend.
Remember faux-fur? Hats! Retro Hats! Here's a pic:
Tired of beanies? Fashion heavyweights like Marc Jacobs, Maison Margiela, and Coach 1941 are throwing it back to brimmed caps and bucket hats featuring vintage textiles like shearling and fur.
 Leave behind. Sorry.

This fall, you'll be neck deep in Victorian-inspired collars. It's the turtleneck's fancy older sister (or great aunt, even). Brands like John Galliano and Kenzo took things literally in Shakespearean white, while Frame and Lemaire modernized it in crisp poplin.
The Victorian collar. As Elle puts it, and I paraphrase, the turtleneck's great aunt. That Frame one is kicking. And Valentino looks Asian inspired.

Leisure suits. Honestly not my thing. But a trend, it check it out.
The latest in cozy wear, the leisure suit, is what we like to call track suit-adjacent. It's a far cry from your typical athleisure look, with Chloé's cozy set in suede and Ashish's in technicolor sequins. To elevate the look (and convince yourself that it's OK to wear sweats outside), wear them with stilettos the way Rihanna styled her show for Fenty Puma.

And my last one, because I'm lazy, Broad Shoulders. 80s and your done, done!

Polyvore looks for you:
